Game Recap

Sherwood came out and scored 2 runs in the top of the first inning but the Jags fought back in the bottom of the inning scoring 5 runs. Chloe Hickman started the Jags off with a single out to right field, followed by Alexa Bowen getting the first RBI hitting a single out to left field, another RBI by Kaylah Qassis and Alex Karamihas, and Megan Ridenour ending the inning with a hard single Out to right field to bring in 2 more RBIs. The 2 teams battled back and forth between pitchers until the 5th inning the Jags were able to bring in 2 more runs with Karlie Stanford’s double to left fiel, Alexa Bowen’s single to right field, Kaylah Qassis’s single to center field, and Alex Karamihas’s double to center field. Sherwood brought in 1 run each in the 6th and 7th but it wasn’t enough to beat the Jags. The Jags made history by winning their first ever state championship.
